Job Description

The forklift operator will play a crucial role on the receiving dock, responsible for efficiently unloading shipments and organizing them for storage.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit down forklifts to unload shipments from trucks and stage them for storage.
• Utilize RF scanning equipment to scan barcodes on wrapped skids and input them into the warehouse management system.
• Use stand-up reach trucks (preferably Crown brand) and cherry picker forklifts to transport skids from staging areas to the warehouse.

• At least 1 year of prior forklift experience is required; 2+ years is preferred.
• Experience with stand-up reach forklifts, preferably Crown brand.
• Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks.
• Familiarity with RF scanning equipment.

• Prior experience in shipping and receiving functions.
• Experience in entering received shipments into the warehouse management system.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a receiving area with approximately 23 bay doors. The dock is not climate controlled, requiring employees to work both inside and outside of trucks. Available shifts include a 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM Sunday through Thursday, and a 2-2-3 schedule from 4 PM to 4 AM for the D team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.81 - $22.81/hr.
